Today Fred is five! This birthday really snuck up on me. I haven't gotten him anything yet. Do you think he will notice? I'm just pretending I don't know. I will stop after work and pick him up a little something...:-)

Not bad for phone pictures. The top ones were actually taken in total darkness, I wasn't even sure if he was in the frame.
Those Bostons sure like to be snuggled in the bed! At night when I tell my 3 dogs to go to bed, my 2 Cocker Spaniels happily trot off to their crates and lay down, Tucker often looks up at me, then runs to my bed and tucks himself in...He knows he sleeps in his crate, but it doesn't stop him from trying every night.

Oh and don't feel bad I ALWAYS forget Jackal's birthday for some reason..... luckily he can't read a calendar so he hasn't gotten mad at me yet lol. He's five this year too. :)

I was reading your comment on Memoirs of a Horse Girl about Fred being allergic to grass. My daughter has a pen with no grass, just a layer of sand on the bottom and small round rocks on top. This is where her dog Bear goes to relieve himself. It's fenced and it's actually easy to keep clean. Thought it might be a solution for Fred's allergy trouble. Good luck.
